Grey Belt — how do we prove the land isn't 'poor quality'?

Our LPA is trying to reclassify a greenfield site as 'Grey Belt' to justify allocation. They claim it's poor quality land just because there's an old abandoned farm building on it. Any advice on proving it still meets Green Belt purposes?
